We are truly honoured to announce that Alfombra Roja will represent Promotora del Comercio Exterior de Costa Rica (PROCOMER) in the Nordic countries.
PROCOMER was founded in 1996 and has since established itself as the mainstay pillar of support for Costa Rican companies. Thanks to its work, Costa Rica’s exports have experienced a great rebound in recent years. The 2020 award for the most inclusive and sustainable world trade initiative, recognised by the World Trade Promotion Organisation, is just one of many such recognitions. PROCOMER was also ranked the world´s number-one trade promoter from 2014 to 2020 by the International Trade Centre.
With over 135 years of supplying the world, Costa Rica has radically transformed its exports in recent years. Originally, its banana and coffee were a global success, but in the last decades, other fresh produce such as pineapple, melon, watermelon, chayote and rambutan have been added to the country´s successful export mix, as well as other industries.

Alfombra Roja´s work will consist of boosting Costa Rican exports in the Nordic region. To ensure this, the company will undertake a series of planning, networking and monitoring activities (e.g., creating business agendas, prospects, surveys, trade missions for buyers, developing business contacts, and more). Alfombra Roja will go the extra mile to support Costa Rican companies for a fruitful and prosperous entry into the Nordic market.
